IBICCI Social Work Department
The Social Work Program at Illana Bay Integrated Computer College, Inc. (IBICCI) in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, is committed to producing highly skilled and compassionate social workers who are ready to make meaningful contributions to society. The program has successfully produced Registered Social Workers (RSWs), ensuring that graduates are fully prepared to engage in professional practice.
Founded in 2008 by Alexander D. Tomawis, IBICCI was established with the goal of providing accessible and quality education to the youth in the region, particularly those in underserved communities. The Bachelor of Science in Social Work program was introduced to meet the growing need for social work professionals in various sectors, including community development, family services, and child welfare.
Under the leadership of Hazel Jane Ausan, the program offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates academic learning with practical fieldwork. IBICCI collaborates with a wide range of government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community groups to provide students with real-world experience and hands-on training.
Graduates of the program are prepared not only to work in various social work settings but also to take and pass the Social Work Licensure Examination, with many of them successfully obtaining their RSW credentials, reflecting their high level of competence and ethical standards.
IBICCI is dedicated to producing ethical, knowledgeable, and capable social work professionals who are equipped to contribute to social change and improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities
